I’m new here - can you explain the fun BlackMilk lingo?Updated 2 months ago

First things first - WELCOME to the wonderful world of BlackMilk! Over the years our community has created a real BlackMilk language - which we know can be a little confusing for newbies! We’ve put together this little glossary of terms to help you get up to speed and speaking the ‘Sharkie’ lingo in no time:

BM - BlackMilk

Sharkie - A BlackMilk fan/customer. Read more here

Nom - Buying Black Milk is referred to as 'nomming' - related to the term Sharkie

BMHQ - BlackMilk HeadQuarters (where all the magic happens!)

Product specific -

HWMF - High-Waisted Matte Finish - Matte finish refers to a type of fabric we use - see more info below

HW - High-Waisted  – HW products are designed to sit comfortably (and flatteringly!) at your natural waist

MF - Matte Finish. It's our powerhouse fabric – we use it more than any other fabric! And here's why: it's stretchy but holds its shape well, it has a matte finish but lets colours shine in all their glory and it's also totally swim-safe. Check out a product example here

OSFA - One Size Fits All. An OSFA garment is designed to fit all sizes on our sizing chart (XXS-XXL) - yes, really! Check out a product example here

BFT - BoyFriend Tee - The BFT is a traditional unisex shape. It's designed to be oversized - like you just stole it out of your 'boyfriend's closet'. Check out the shape here

Combat Leggings - We offer three lengths in our Active Leggings range. Combat is the shortest, which stops just below the knee

Battle Leggings - This pair of leggings is between the Combat and Ninja length - think about mid-calf

Ninja Leggings - These are full length Active legs

BV - Burned Velvet - this refers to a fabric type! You can read more about it here
